Crude Oil

Crude oil is the energy workhorse that powers our economy. From fueling our cars and trucks to the basic component of plastics and many consumer goods, oil affects every consumer. As we have seen from recent spikes in oil prices, it has a major impact on our economy. Fortunately the Ports-to-Plains region is home to some of the world's greatest oil resources. Alberta has the world’s second largest recoverable resource. The corridor runs through eight of the top 15 oil producing states, including number one Texas and number four North Dakota.
