Sid Cauthorn serves as President and CEO of The Bank & Trust, s.s.b. located in Southwest Texas. The Bank & Trust opened in 1910 in Del Rio, Texas located on the Texas/Mexico Border. The Bank & Trust has grown to assets totaling $265 million dollars with four locations. Three additional locations are in the planning stages. Mr. Cauthorn managed the conversion of The Bank & Trust from a State Chartered Commercial Bank to a State Chartered Savings Bank. His primary responsibilities include managing the organization's bond portfolio and interest rate risk.He is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Economics. After working with the Texas Department of Banking for seven years, Cauthorn returned to Del Rio in 1993 and took the helm of The Bank & Trust in 1999. He is Vice President of Westex Bansorp, Inc. and serves as chairman of the Ports-to-Plains Trade Corridor Coalition. He and his wife Kim have three children; Abb, Hattie, and Mills.
